The Seafaring Life

Clockwise from left: 1) Hiking the Bright Angel Trail in Grand Canyon National Park in 2017. 2) Driving alone, terrified, as night fell heavily from the Grand Canyon back to Flagstaff in 2017. 3) Me on the first day of the Coachella Music Festival in California in 2017. I bought everything I’m wearing in this photo, crying, at a Forever 21 store 15 minutes before it closed the night before, after my stuff was stolen out of the trunk of my car at an Airbnb in Palm Desert.
Our 8-euro-a-night hostel was on this same street, less than a block away, in Athens, Greece in 2013.
Clockwise from left: 1) Navigating Paris during my time studying abroad there in 2008 when I was 19, with no knowledge of French. 2) Me, at age 19, on a day trip to Normandy in 2008 while I was studying abroad in Paris. 3) Me, at 19, on the first day I arrived in Paris in 2008 for a study abroad program through my university.
Me and Veronica in high school, at age 15 or 16, a few months before we got into a near fatal car accident.
